John's business background and years of database design, computer and network setup, and troubleshooting experience allow him to see beyond the immediate problem to the long-term solution. John is our lead 4th Dimension and SQL database developer, creating sophisticated cross-platform solutions.

He has been a computer consultant since 1986 and is graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting.

Evan Kentop, Senior Partner
Evan teaches software classes and provides consulting in Microsoft Office products and FileMaker Pro. He works closely with clients to create business savvy solutions in FileMaker Pro. Evan also integrates FileMaker Pro databases with the Internet for dynamic data collection and reporting.

A computer consultant since 1987, Evan is proficient with Apple Macintosh and Microsoft Windows operating systems and software. His credentials include a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from the University of Washington, with special emphasis on computers and marketing.

David Newhoff, Online Consultant
Before joining Portage Bay Solutions, as Director of Online Operations, David lead a team of designers and producers for the Industry Standard magazine. He has extensive experience managing technical projects of varying scale and complexity, from customer relationship management systems to user interface design.

David also worked for The San Francisco Opera for three years, directing projects and campaigns in the development office. He holds a BA degree in History from the University of San Francisco and did graduate work in Information Systems at The London School of Economics. He enjoys cooking, soccer, fly-fishing and sailing.
