The Complete Guide to FM iOS App Development

When FileMaker announced it was launching a SDK for creating native iOS apps, this was very exciting news. Developers now have the ability to build an app in FileMaker and send it to the Apple App Store. The steps for going through this process can be a bit cumbersome. After deploying a few apps, I’ve come up with a complete guide to launching an app. Note that these instructions are very specific to FileMaker iOS App SDK v15 and Xcode v8.2.1. DevCon 2016 Report

This year’s DevCon consisted of three days of sessions, each broken up into four one-hour chunks, with plenty of time for lunch and breaks. This more relaxed schedule was great, as it allowed for time to decompress and digest the wealth of information in the sessions.

FileMaker 15 Released

Today FileMaker Inc. released FileMaker Pro and FileMaker Server 15. This is the first release since they announced a new annual release schedule last year, so presumably we’ll see FileMaker 16 approximately a year from now.

Pause on Error 2016 – Cleveland

The Pause on Error conference is a FileMaker developer’s conference on a smaller scale than FileMaker’s annual DevCon (in Las Vegas this year). It gives you a nice opportunity to more easily meet people and the sessions tend to be less formal.
