Welcome to an inside look at how our devs are testing out where AI can help versus hinder everyday work conundrums. Our team’s focus in this meeting is Claude Cowork, a tool designed to track the things you store within a specified local folder.
“Delegate to Claude, delight in the result.
Hand off a task, get a polished deliverable. Spend less time finding, formatting, and fixing with Claude Cowork.”

Unlike terminal sessions that often lose context between machines, Cowork allows users to reference local documents and resume previous conversations without losing their train of thought. And without Cowork losing its train of thought!
Xandon showcased a specialized plugin that transforms how we vet Claris FileMaker solutions. The tool parses XML to generate an interactive web page, highlighting critical code issues and providing step-by-step XML recommendations. By using the Monkey Bread Software plugin, developers can copy these AI-generated XML “fixes” and paste them directly back into FileMaker scripts.

Shrinking the token hunger
One of the greatest challenges in using large language models (LLMs) for FileMaker is the verbosity of XML data. Many ways are being explored to make this data digestible for AI. Nick has taken to using a Python script that converts large XML files into concise formats, focusing only on essential elements like base tables and script steps. This narrowing significantly reduces API costs.
AI and 3D printing
These tools aren’t only for software. John has been using Claude to generate step files for 3D printing. By providing precise measurements or scanned images of physical parts, like a boat drain plug or an electrical cover, Claude generated printable models faster than traditional manual modeling software.
The “Swiss Army knife of the future”
By building custom tooling on the fly, developers are no longer held back by manual processes. They are orchestrating AI to solve problems in real-time.
“We’re getting access to this ability to build tools on the fly, and it’s super exciting because you’re not held back.”
